Rick Rivers, along with his wife Susie, has been in the florist industry for 25 years.  They own and operate A Floral Boutique Florist in Ormond Beach, Fl providing their customers with the highest quality of service available in the industry.  Throughout the past 25 years Rick and Susie have gone through many ups and downs, and in each situation they have learned valuable lessons.  This website is here to serve as a resource for you to help your florist related business reach the next level.

Rick is a former police officer who has used lessons he learned on the job to help make A Floral Boutique a FTD Top 500 florist.  Rick has a passion for marketing and planning, as well as teaching the importance of these to his fellow florists.  In the past Rick’s seminar, “The 7 P’s: Prior Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance,” has been taught at the FTD national convention as well as at multiple local floral associations.  A Floral Boutique was also featured in “Florist Review” Magazine in February of 2008 because of their excellence in holiday planning.

Rick’s first book Blooming at the Top was released in the summer of 2009.  The book details Rick’s start in the florist industry, the business values that he employs in day to day operations, and the valuable lessons he has learned over the years.  The book concludes with 12 strategies to double your sales.  His next book, “Who’s Been Fishing in My Pond?” is set for release at the end of 2009.

Rick has been married to his wife Susie for 27 years, and together they have two children, Jessica and Jason.
